Joan passed away peacefully at home in Federal Way, WA on June 17, 2007.
She was born to Zack and Elvona Rose in Sidney, AR on Nov 28, 1931. She met her high school sweetheart, Wallace Clayton "Wally" Wheadon ('49) in Richland, WA where they married and began a journey of over 56 wonderful married years. They have three children, Carmen Rabe, in Mentor, OH, Sheryl Alleman, in Lyman, WY, and Scott Wheadon, in Kelseyville, CA, twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her younger siblings: Charles ('50), Ginger ('55), Glen ('58), and Mary ('60).
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having faithfully and lovingly served in many church assignments.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 22 at 2:00PM in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 31816 47th SW, Federal Way, WA.
Her final words to her husband were "I really love you, Sweetheart".
